Acclaimed director and fashion photographer David LaChapelle is at it again, doing his best Justin Timberlake impression and bringing sexy back—this time for the Boots No. 7 holiday campaign. The spot, out of Mother/London, shows gorgeous women doing the dullest holiday tasks with the power and aplomb typical of LaChapelle's female subjects. A woman with a puff of platinum hair like the base of a snowman struts with a kid on her hip while dragging a fir. A blonde in a ball gown casts the dish suds from her pink washing gloves then applies perfume to her rubberized wrists. Another peels Brussels sprouts while having a soak in the tub, and a dark-haired vamp paints her nails blood red before violently thrusting a fistful of stuffing into a turkey's cavity. "Tis the season to be gorgeous" ties it all together, and we'd have to agree.
According to Mother, the turkey scene alone took a whole day to film, while over 120 kilograms of sprouts were used in the bath scene. Vogue stylist Bay Garnet was also present on the shoot to advise.
