Arnold Worldwide has hired Mike Wilson, formerly GSD&M's chief creative officer, to the role of executive vice president, group creative director. He will report directly to Pete Favat, managing partner, chief creative officer of Arnold Boston, leading creative on Dell and other global Arnold clients.
Most recently, Wilson was evp, chief creative officer at GSD&M in Austin, a role he left in January. He worked on new business as well as clients including Ace Hardware, AT&T, Southwest Airlines and The United States Air Force. Prior to GSD&M, he was evp, chief creative officer, at Dentsu America. He has won industry awards including Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, Effie Awards, Communication Arts and One Show.
Earlier in his career, Wilson was senior partner, worldwide group creative director at Ogilvy & Mather, managing its global American Express Blue, DHL and Kodak accounts, as well as working with Pete Favat at Houston Herstek Favat.
In a statement, Favat said: "I've known Mike for a long time and he's one of the best in the business. He's a smart guy and an expert at his craft. We produced some great work during the three years we spent together at Houston Herstek Favat. He is the right cultural fit for Arnold, and I'm looking forward to picking up where we left off."
