Mindfield Announces Expanded Roster

Founded last year by former Cliff Freeman producer Jimmy Greenway, L.A.'s Mindfield began life as a one-stop creative services company, providing concept, production and post for projects out of West Coast agencies like Wongdoody and Ground Zero. Thanks to the shop's recent partnership with feature house Newman/Tooley Films, however, Mindfield is breaking out with an impressive roster of directors that the shop is representing for spots, videos and branded content projects.

New additions include Kaos, director of the forthcoming Antonio Banderas film Ballistic; Alexander Witt, formerly of Level 7, who served as second unit director on XXX and Black Hawk Down; Boiler Room writer/director Ben Younger (repped for spots by Chelsea Pictures, for videos by Mindfield); and Y Tu Mama Tambien screenwriter Carlos Cuaron.

The shop's roster also includes choreographer Travis Payne, Swedish director Chris Anthony, directing teams Tomorrow's Brightest Mind's and Reef Boys, longtime Propaganda Films director Michael Oblowitz, James Tooley, Gregg Araki and Jamie Mosberg.

According to Greenway, Mindfield's cooperation with Newman/Tooley -- Tucker Tooley and Vincent Newman have joined Greenway and executive producer Michael Nadeau as partners in Mindfield -- and the shop's recent signing spree are aimed at gearing up for new forms of branded entertainment. "A new industry is growing up around it," he says. "There are a lot of niches that are going to be filled, and hopefully we can be a part of that."
