Mini Mimics Famous TV Cars

Published on .

Mini: A new outdoor campaign features Minis tricked out like classic TV cars.
When the new Mini was launched last year, the car was promoted without any major television buys. The latest effort for the car relies heavily on television, however, even if it is an outdoor campaign.

In a new series of out-of-home ads from Crispin Porter + Bogusky, we see the Mini tricked out like famous TV cars, like the one from Starsky & Hutch, for example. Other ads show the car decked out as the Partridge Family's van, the "General Lee" from The Dukes of Hazard, K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider and as a ride fit for Evel Knievel. Each ad features copy linking the brand's "Let's Motor" tagline to the famous car in question. "Let's Go Undercover," the headline urges in the copy that goes with the S&H Mini shown here.
