Outside of trying to be an ironic hipster, this month men have even more incentive to growing their lip locks. Since 2004, November has become Movember, a month-long 'stache-growing event to raise funds for men's health issues like prostrate cancer and depression. Initially started in Australia, the movement has spread across the world, to other countries like the U.S., the U.K., Spain and Canada.

This year, the Movember charity gains even more fuel with the participation of various ad personalities and brands. Tool director Tom Routson worked with TBWA/Chiat/Day to create a pair of webfilms, seen below, to help promote the cause.

Richard Ulfvengren of Traktor has joined the movement as part of team Smell the Hair, which also features fellow Traktor Ole Sanders and other familiar industry names like director Lloyd Stein and Bob's TK Knowles.

TBWA, whose client Pepsi Max is also Movember sponsor, ups the ante even further. While agency honcho Lee Clow already has his own lush Mo and beard, he promises to shave it all off if he gets 1,000 Movember members to join the TBWA network team.

Rockstar Games, also a Movember sponsor, perhaps has the grandest prize of all, and promises to immortalize the grower of the most awesome mouth caterpillar as a character in its new game Red Dead Redemption, coming out in 2010.
