Noam Murro Wins Commercial DGA

Biscuit Filmworks' Noam Murro took home the DGA award for directorial achievement in commercials for the second time on Saturday, beating out Park Pictures' Lance Acord, MJZ's Dante Ariola and Fredrik Bond and @radical.media's Steve Miller.

Murro was nominated for work including "Handlebar Mustache" for Heineken Premium Light out of Wieden New York and "Hot House" for DirecTV out of Grey New York. Other noted spots included "Pinata," for the Volkswagen Tiguan, created out of Deutsch L.A., and "Is It Real?" for EA's Battlefield 3, out of Wieden Portland.

Murro last won the award in 2004 for work for Adidas, Starbucks and eBay. This was his sixth time being nominated in this category. Check out the other winners on the DGA Web site.
