Orent Launches Station Film

Former managing partner of Hungry Man Stephen Orent has announced details of his next venture--a company called Station Film, a partnership with four production veterans set to have a five director roster at launch.

Orent, who co-founded Hungry Man ten years ago with directors Bryan Buckley and Hank Perlman, left the company in October of 2007 to launch his own business. His new partners in Station Film include executive producer Tom Rossano, who spent the last eight years at Hungry Man and who will oversee the company's New York operation, Los Angeles-based EPs Michael DiGirolamo and Caroline Gibney and Adam Lyne in London. DiGirolamo, who had served for eight years as VP/head of sales at Anonymous Content, will also be in the role of director of integrated media. Gibney was an EP/head of production at Hungry Man. Lyne, a 25-year production veteran, was formerly a producer at MJZ, London.

Directorial talent includes ex-Hungry Man directors David Gray, Brendan Gibbons, Owen Harris, Harold Einstein and Vance Malone with more set to join in the coming months, the company says. The company is also planning the unveiling of a "sister brand" focused on new media for smaller and mid-sized clients.
