There plenty of winners at the Academy Awards last night, but not all of them bear the glorious duality of success in advertising and film. Congratulations are in order to all the ad folk nominated, but particular plaudits go out to Bent Image Lab and Chel White's VFX work on Milk , which may have helped Sean Penn win Best Actor and Best VFX winner The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, another triumph for Eric Barba and the crew at Digital Domain we dissected in this month's issue. Shout-outs also go to James Marsh, director of Man on Wire, which won Best Documentary (Marsh is looking to direct spots now.)
