Perry Fair and Mauro Cavalletti have joined Mullen as Co-Chief Digital Officers.
Fair joins Mullen from Grey New York where he was ECD and where he created some of the shop's recent high profile work for DirecTV. He was previously CD at TBWAChiatDay L.A., working on Nissan, Gatorade and other clients.
Cavalletti comes from R/GA San Francisco, which he helped launch in 2008. He's also done stints at AKQA and Organic. Cavalletti also has a background in video production, product design and architecture.
It seems the partnership was a long time coming for the pair. "Originally I was looking for one person for this job," says Mullen CCO Mark Wenneker. "I liked them both so much I put together an awkward Skype meeting with both to see if they had chemistry. Turned out they did. In fact, they knew each other and had been considered as a team not once, but twice. We all figured that the third time was a charm. There is so much talent between them. It's going to be fun reinventing our digital landscape and building things together."
The new CDOs will report to Wenneker and will work across a range of clients.
