PS2 Invites Shoppers to Come Out and Play

In a new spot for PlayStation 2 from TBWA/Chiat/Day, a crowd gathers outside an electronics store, where a force field turns an ordinary sidewalk into a magical playground. Directed by RSA's Laurence Dunmore, the spot is a pitch for a PS2 combo pack offer and ends with the line, "The only place to play."

As evidence, passersby who step into the mysterious circle are transformed, courtesy of effects house Digital Domain. A businessman flies, two children become wall-scaling dobermans, and ordinary onlookers are turned into weightless street fighters.
