PwC Expands "Chief Courage Officer" Spot into Serial

Published on .

PricewaterhouseCoopers expands the story of Casey.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has taken a spot it aired last year, "Chief Courage Officer," and expanded it into a seven-spot serial. The original spot, which was directed by Supply & Demand's Jeffery Plansker, focused on a CEO named Casey who was in need of a Chief Courage Officer. The scene was backed by a poetic voiceover reminiscent of "Casey at the Bat."

In the expanded campaign -- which, like the original, was created by the writer/art director team of Bill Heater and Dean Noble, under the direction of PwC marketing head David Wecal -- we see what came before and after the original spot, as Casey struggles with a changing economy. Anchored by the tag "Business needs a chief courage officer," the campaign includes a web componenet at www.pwc.com/newrealities.
