@radical.media and ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History -- a coalition of relief organizations -- recently brought together an impressive cast of stars for a PSA designed to draw attention to the issues of AIDS and global poverty. Directed by @radical's Marcus Tomlinson, "The ONE Spot" features a diverse cast that includes Pat Robertson, Tom Hanks, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Al Pacino, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Benicio del Toro, Alfre Woodard, Rita Wilson, P. Diddy, George Clooney and many others, urging viewers to visit ONE.org and commit their voice to calling for a solution to global poverty. As the commercial's tagline says, "We're not asking for your money. We're asking for your voice."
The spot debuted on Sunday, when it aired simultaneously on all of MTV's networks worldwide, as well as during ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. A companion to the spot -- in which some of the same celebs snap their fingers every three seconds to signify another death from poverty -- appears at makingpovertyhistory.org, the online home of an allied effort in the U.K.
