Radio Awards Galore

New York radio production company Sound Lounge Radio has announced the launch of The Olives, an awards program for unproduced radio scripts. The contest, which is open to copywriters and art directors working at ad agencies, offers prize money of $3000 and a chance to have your script produced. The deadline for entries is March 31.

In other radio awards news, the Radio Advertising Bureau announced this week that John Butler, partner at Butler, Shine, Stern and Partners, will serve as chief judge of the 2005 Radio-Mercury Awards. For more information about the awards, which will be presented June 8 in New York, visit RadioMercuryAwards.com. The deadline for entries is March 4.
