Regis Stars for Hummer

Published on .

Ambrosia takes a turn for Hummer.
Boston agency Modernista! bowed two new spots for GM's Hummer this week, one of which stars Regis Philbin and Victoria Secret model Alessandra Ambrosia. In a departure from the rugged tone of previous spots for the H2, we see Ambrosia cruising in a Hummer, while Tom Jones' "Help Yourself" plays in the background. Out of nowhere, Philbin jumps into the passenger seat and the camera pans back to reveal that the SUV is actually on the deck of a moving yacht. Dave Meyers of @radical.media directed the famous pair.

A second spot, meanwhile, focuses on the possibilities for escape that the Hummer affords. Directed by the Icelandic directing team Arni & Kinski of HSI in a lush style that marked Modernista's early efforts for The Gap, we see children and adults on a camping trip, crafting primitive hot-air balloons in the desert. Ambient rockers Mojave 3 provide the soundtrack with their digital single "Bluebird of Happiness."
