Romano reflects fondly on her time at Lowe, but says she is encouraged by the forthcoming opportunity at JWT. "I was fortunate to work with some very bright people on some incredible brands (at Lowe)," she says. "But cycles end and my cycle there ended. In talking to Craig and Russell, I found solid planning and thinking and a very serious discipline for creativity. They seemed pretty comfortable with the idea that I can do different things, that I can work across different disciplines and they very much supported it. Add that to the drive this team shows for success and you have an exciting work environment in one of the most vibrant cities in the world."
Romano was brought on at Lowe, New York in mid-2005 by Mark Wnek, joining in a tripartite ECD arrangement with former BBH creative directors John Hobbs and Peter Rosch, who left the agency to pursue directing. We spoke with her early last year about her Madrid move when she left New York to head Lola.
