Saatchi, New York named ADC Agency of the Year

At the Art Directors Club awards show last week, Saatchi & Saatchi, New York was named agency of the year with eight cubes, including gold for the Crest Bulldozer spot, Stuffit Deluxe radio work and Cheerios "Through Your Veins" outdoor.

Crispin Porter + Bogusky's work for Burger King was also highly awarded at the show. Whopper Sacrifice (below) grabbed one of three hybrid cubes and interactive gold, while documentary-style videoWhopper Virgins won integrated gold.

Leo Burnett won network of the year with 12 awards, including double gold for Shelter House of Cardsfrom London. Pentagram was named design firm of the year with six awards, including the top-honor design sphere for The Public Theater work and gold for the Museum of Arts and Design identity. R/GA was the interactive agency of the year with three awards, including two silvers for Nike work.

No juries awarded black cubes, even though the ADC introduced the best in show per category awards this year.

The remaining two hybrid cube winner are 42 Entertainment's "Why So Serious?" experience for Warner BrosThe Dark Knight movie release and Johannes Leonardo's Nomis Right Boot Store.
