Sound Designer Marc Levisohn Dies

Marc Levisohn, founder of sound design and music company Big Ears and former head of sound design at Hum died on August 28th at age 37 after a struggle with lung cancer. Levisohn worked at Hum from 1996 to 2003 before founding Big Ears, and has garnered numerous awards for his spot work, doing sound design on over 650 commercials and two films.

Instead of flowers, Levisohn's family requests donations in Marc's name to his alma mater, the Berklee School of Music, ATTN: Development Office - 1140 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02215. A virtual guest book is available for condolences.

Levisohn is survived by his wife, Felicia; his mother Myrna and step-father Dan Beardshear; his father Bill, step-mother Katya Levisohn and his brother, Brett.
