Spike Jonze Shoots for Crispin Porter and Ikea

Published on .

Spike Jonze has wrapped his first commercial job in almost a year -- a spot for Crispin Porter + Bogusky's debut campaign for Ikea. The spot, in fact, marks a number of firsts. Not only will it be Crispin's first television for the furniture retailer since winning the account earlier this year, it's Jonze's first spot since joining production company MJZ in the most buzzworthy signing of 2001. Since then, he's been busy finishing up Adaptation, his feature follow up to 1999's Being John Malkovich.

The last spot Jonze shot was filmed almost a year ago via now-defunct Satellite Films. Titled "Crazy Legs," it became Levi's entry in this year's Super Bowl after topping an online poll on the jeansmaker's website.
