Tonight marks the opening ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and throughout the two-week broadcast of the games, we'll be posting the best spots featuring athletes, tie-ins and sponsorships. In Sprint's "Crevasse," which we posted yesterday, skier Jonny Mosely finds himself in need of his walkie-talkie phone after falling into a hole habitated by other lost snow bunnies.

Several big spots are due to launch during the parade and sportsmanlike spectacle. In a similar move to Mustang's national anthem and NYC 2012's "Bugler\'s Dream," Chevrolet uses car horns to announce the beginning of the Games in "Horns" via Campbell-Ewald in Detroit. The spot uses stunning stock scenery shot over the course of eight years by Plum Productions' Eric Saarinen, who directed. Effects artists at Asylum placed the Chevys into the footage after a five-day shoot that included settings such as Dodger Stadium, Lone Pine California and foregrounds ten feet high.
