Wall wins for Commercials at DGA awards

Imperial Woodpecker's Stacy Wall has scooped the Directors' Guild of America Award in the Commercials category.

It is the first DGA Award for Wall, who was nominated for two Nike campaigns, Rise and Handshake, for Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, Creativity's Agency of the Year.

He was also nominated for Microsoft spot Really? For Crispin, Porter and Bogusky, and Adidas spots Slim Chin and D.Rose for 180 LA.

Wall bested nominees Gorgeous' Frank Budgen, MJZ's Craig Gillespie and Tom Kuntz, and Biscuit's Tim Godsall.
