What do strange animators do in their spare time? Make strange animations, of course. The second installment of "PSST! Pass it on..." premiered in Monterey, CA at the TED Conference, but the films are online as well for you to witness the latest in VFX tomfoolery. Lots of folks you might have heard about are part of PSST!'s unique collaborative process this year—three different teams work on one film, each responsible for a part. Contributors include Buck, loyalkaspar, Freestyle Collective, Honest, National Television, James Price, Saiman Chow, and Aaron Stewart. Founder, Bran Dougherty-Johnson of Grow Design Work compares the process to Dada poetry game Exquisite Corpse or playground favorite Telephone. Take a look at the overwhelming weirdness and you'll agree—with names like "Unreciprocated Surgery Zombie!!!" and "Bubble Eidetic Spindrome" Hans Arp would approve.
