Woo, Scott, Carnahan to Shoot BMW Films

Published on .

BMW of North America announced yesterday that Tony Scott (Top Gun, True Romance), John Woo (Mission Impossible II, Face/Off) and Joe Carnahan (NARC) will direct upcoming episodes of "The Hire," the carmaker's award-winning online film series.

As reported here last month, the new episodes will be produced by production company RSA, with Ridley and Tony Scott serving as executive producers along with RSA managing director Jules Daly. Anonymous Content, which produced the first five installments of the series and was originally slated to produce the new episodes, parted ways with BMW and agency Fallon Worldwide on the project early last month.

The new shorts are expected to debut online at BWMfilms.com in October.
