Y&R's Ferguson Returns to DDB

Published on .

Jim Ferguson resigned yesterday as executive creative director of Young & Rubicam North America, and will soon join DDB/Chicago, DDB announced this morning. Ferguson, who was the chief creative officer at DDB/Dallas before joining Y&R, will take on the role of EVP-creative consultant, working primarily on the McDonald's account. Ferguson previously worked on that account at Leo Burnett.

The move comes as former BBDO ECD Michael Patti takes over the reins as worldwide creative director and CEO/chairman of Y&R/New York. When Patti's appointment was announced last month, Ferguson -- formerly CCO and president of Y&R's New York office -- was given the role of North American ECD.
