Y&R announced a new agency model for its North American operations, unifying its agencies into a single entity, in a move that Chairman and CEO Ann Fudge says will help build creative teams, integrated campaigns and better client relationships as agencies cooperate. Most notably to the creative community, worldwide creative director and New York chief executive Michael Patti will become vice chairman of Y&R Advertising, while still focusing on global creativity. In addition, the agency has created a Catalyst Team, composed of John Morris, chief growth officer; Matt Eastwood, formerly a founding partner of M&C Saatchi, catalyst executive creative director; Jon Cropper, creative content and channel strategist; David Yakir, chief digital officer; and John Gerzema, chief insights officer.
