Eau de Macbook Pro: Apple Unboxing Scent Made Into a Perfume

Published on .

Forget the scent of a new car. These days, the hottest unboxing fragrance is that of a new Apple product being opened. Scent marketing company Air Aroma was approached by the artistic group Greatest Hits to create that elusive smell for an upcoming art exhibition.

The "Scent of a Macbook Pro," is a layered, complex thing; a combination of plastic wrap, ink and the components inside the box (some more plastic and paper), topped off with the smell of the aluminium casing.

The fragrance will be diffused at 'De Facto Standard,' a Greatest Hits art exhibition in Melbourne, until May 12. Sorry, Apple fanboys and girls: It's not for purchase.
