An all-star cast of Lena Dunham, Jon Hamm and director/actor Alex Karpovsky launch The New Yorker's new iPhone app in a somewhat 90s-style filmed web short. For the luddites among you, Dunham -- who also directed the film -- spoon-feeds Hamm and Karpovsky an explanation of what an iPhone is , what an app is and even what The New Yorker is .

The effort is the magazine's latest celebrity attempt to debut its digital goods. Check out Creativity -Online.com to see its 2010 iPad app launch, for which it tapped actor Jason Schwartzman and director Roman Coppola to create another hilarious film.
