Marionette Andres Iniesta Takes Control in Stop-Motion Nike Football Film

Published on .

FC Barcelona's Andres Iniesta is puppeteer'd around a cute little football field in this spot for Nike 's new CTR360 Maestri III line of soccer cleats, by agency Wieden & Kennedy London, in collaboration with Aardman and French-Canadian director Patrick Boivin.

A marionette Iniesta skillfully maneuvers around the soccer field, dodging players from the opposing team until he faces his final opponent--the goalkeeper. But the puppet's mastery over the soccer ball is a metaphor for the power of the Iniesta shoe, as the surprise ending shows.

In previous puppet action: Dougal Wilson directed the "Life in Technicolor" video for Coldplay back in 2009. Check it out on Creativity -Online.com and follow @creativitymag on Twitter for more great work.
