Mexican Campaign Encourages You to Swap Dog Poop for Free Wi-Fi

Published on .

Mexican internet portal Terra is encouraging dog owners to scoop by offering them free Wi-Fi. The company is piloting the idea at 10 parks in Mexico City in a campaign by DDB, Mexico.

When people throw away their bags of dog waste in a special box in the park, the weight is calculated and Terra provides free minutes of Wi-Fi in the park. The more weight, the more minutes. And everyone enjoys a poop-free park. In an age when people are probably more interested in staring at their smartphone than watching what their dog is doing, it's a great idea.
