BBDO New York taps artificially intelligent talent in its latest spot for GE, part of the brand's "GE Works" effort now focusing on "brilliant machines." Famous robots, androids and even smart wheels come out to attend what appears to be a major Robo-con. Among them, you'll see Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet, K.I.T.T. the talking car from Knight Rider, Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, B-9 from Lost in Space and even one who looks a lot like Honda's Asimo. We're not sure what happened to R2D2, C3P0 or perhaps the hottest bot in recent history, Prometheus' David--perhaps they were all too busy stuffing their robot faces on Thanksgiving, when the spot debuted. Among the previous installments of the "GE Works" campaign, were two feel-good Super Bowl spots from the company, which showed how the work of GE employees leads to products that everybody uses in real life: beer and appliances.
