Swedish Recovery Drink Gainomax Would Like to Remind You: Bananas Are For Monkeys

Most people in Sweden eat a banana after a workout. That just sucks, especially if you're Gainomax, a post-sweat session recovery drink. Saatchi & Saatchi Stockholm bring back the "Bananas Are For Monkeys" tagline it introduced back in 2006 with this gruesome, horror-commercial -- but with a completely fresh spin.

The new set of commercials -- shot in an unsteady, docu-style format -- introduces the "Monkeys," a football team that always eats bananas after their practices and games. Obviously, it doesn't work out too well for the team or its cheerleaders, who aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. While the 2006 commercial was brilliant creatively, these new spots hold their own quite well, and might be a little bit more palatable.
