VW's Hands-Free Banner Ad Promotes Car's Hands-Free Calling System

Published on .

To promote VW Accessories' hands-free calling function in its Touch Phone Kit, German agency Agenta Agenturgruppe created a banner ad that allowed consumers to video-call their Facebook friends -- hands-free.

Also, in a surprise move, unbeknownst to the caller, the video that their friends see places a steering wheel and pair of hands in front of the caller's face, making the call look "as real as possible," as if the caller were using the new VW tool mid-drive. When the call ends, the user who initiated the call receives a message on the banner forwarding them to the e-shop to buy the kit. A screenshot of the call is posted to his Facebook wall.
