U.S. mags should take a cue from this work, which earns honors in our best of 2011 list. Duval Guillaume, Brussels created Fashiontag, a handy Facebook app that lets users find out where their friends got their outfits, for Belgian fashion mag Flair. Instead of tagging their friends, users tag their clothes or accessories. The app then posts questions about where they found the items to the friends' walls. The tagged items then appear in a special Facebook gallery, the best of which eventually end up in the pages of Flair magazine.
