Notes: Aspen Marketing Services is a privately held marketing services agency with a concentration of clients in the auto, telecom, travel, retail, financial services and computer industries. Aspen took a big growth step in July 2006 when it acquired DVC Worldwide, a full-service agency based in Morristown, N.J., that focuses on promotional marketing, sponsorship, co-marketing and experiential marketing and digital, CRM and direct marketing as well as traditional advertising and PR. DVC (once known as Dugan Valva) now operates as a branch of Aspen under the Aspen name. DVC entered Aspen's current-year totals July 1, 2006. Aspen draws about 93% of its revenue from direct marketing and sales promotion. Aspen opened an office in New York in January 2007. Among management moves in 2007, Cathy Lang was named chief operating officer. She served as CMO the past five years. John Costello, former chief global marketing officer at Yahoo, was named to the board. Aspen was formed largely through acquisition. It is a confab of marketing services companies, including Aspen Direct, Hanig & Co., Creative Marketing International, PhoneWorks and Corporate Trademarks. Aspen operates regional full-service offices in Alpharetta, Ga., Lake Orion, Mich., Irvine, Calif., and St. Petersburg, Fla., Chicago, Morristown, N.J., and New York, and sales offices in Phoenix and Flower Mound, Texas.
