Roster: Matthew Badger, Anouk Besson, Tim Godsall, Paula Greif, Phil Morrison, Dewey Nicks, Jeff Preiss, Stacy Wall
The name "Epoch" could easily represent the shelf life of the company's talents. EP Jerry Solomon points out the small shop has always been about a "slow build," noting that most of the directors, with the exception of Anouk Besson, had little or no experience in the craft before they joined, but stayed on to develop reputable careers. This year, flagship director Jeff Preiss helmed spots for Nike, continued to evolve his skillful portraiture in Cotton's long-running campaign, and just completed an international shoot for Intel. Paula Greif debuted new work for Target this month, as did Matt Badger for Lazy Boy. Dewey Nicks just wrapped American Eagle, and Y&R's Sony Plato returned to the screens via the comedic prowess of Phil Morrison, who also shot for Honda and Rubin Postaer. As for the newcomers, Canadian funnyman Tim Godsall directed Vodafone for Europe and Crispin/L.A.'s inaugural work for Fine Living Network; and former Wieden CD Stacy Wall had his hands full with Geico and UPS for The Martin Agency, Nextel for Mullen, and Fox Sports out of Union.
