Much Ado About Something

Published on .

Much Ado About Nothing is the play that's the thing for the 2004 New York Shakespeare Festival's free summer of theater in Central Park, and perennial Shakespeare Fest poster designer Paula Scher's campaign on behalf of the comedy "is a timely rebuff to the alarmist tone of last year's production, Henry V," notes Pentagram. "In the new poster, the background image is a bucolic lake setting in Central Park, and the lyrical treatment casts summer in the city as a dreamlike vision." Yeah, let's dream while we can. Just wait till the Republican horde gets here. (TK)
