New Gun in Town

By Ti Published on .

Michael Waldron (with goatee) and Erik van der Wilden, formerly of New York design shop The Diecks Group, have launched a new motion design company, NailGun. The new studio will undertake design work in the broadcast and advertising realms and has nailed its first assignment, a series of promos for Nickelodeon's home video and DVD releases. Waldron had previously been creative director at The Diecks Group and will spearhead design and live action at the new shop. Van der Wilden had joined Diecks as director of editorial and animation, in 1999, from his own shop, Vandyink. The pair's past design work includes promos for ESPN, CMT and TNT, and spots for Toyota and Jeep.
