Ride the Filthy Wind

Published on .

Massive Industries is a new New York visual effects house looking to make a buzz for itself, so what better way than mailing out a poster featuring a . . . rat riding a pigeon. Outside of the big looming "Soon," the poster fails to contain any information besides the Massive Industries name and street address-no URL or phone number-and in keeping with this tease, the company is being coyly hush-hush about why a rat is riding a pigeon. "We prefer not to give much of an explanation and let the image stand on its own," says exec producer Justin Lane. "It's dark and mysterious, like ourselves." We're guessing that this will be an event if New York gets the 2012 Olympics. Lane will say that the poster was designed by Psyop, which is a partner company to Massive Industries, whose website is currently under construction.
