Videogame Skaterboarder and Dragon Go Broadcast

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Video-game software publisher Activision revs up advertising for two of its star titles in the Activision Action Sports sub-brand -- "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3" and "Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder."

The global campaign for the two titles was created by

Wild skateboard antics off skyscrapers, fire engine ladder trucks and freeway bridges.
Bcom3 Group's D'Arcy Masius Benton Bowles, Los Angeles a spot for "Tony Hawk" broke Nov. 7 on network and cable TV and a billboard appears on a megascreen Times Square. A spot for the snowboarding title breaks Nov. 19.

Universal Interactive, a unit of Vivendi Universal, this week breaks print and TV ads for "Crash Bandicoot," "Spyro the Dragon" and "Return of the Mummy" games for Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation 2. The campaign was created by Kovel/Fuller, Culver City, Calif.

Spending on the efforts was not disclosed.
