Dr. Martens have long been the footwear choice of subculture for decades, so for its own line of web films the brand sought people who live their lives in unique and independent ways. Under the site slogan of "Outside of the Ordinary," the short black-and- white documentaries follow six people who work in untraditional settings, including a roadie, a New York bridge worker, a motorcycle messenger and a sidewalk artist, with the prevailing feeling that we should do whatever makes us feel most fulfilled, especially if it means veering away from the norm.
