CHICAGO (AdAge.com) -- Online retailer 1-800-Flowers.com today launched its Valentine's Day-themed TV campaign via Wunderman, New York, a unit of WPP Group's Young & Rubicam.

The effort includes two spots highlighting the variety of gifts offered by the e-tailer for the holiday, with the tagline "Give someone special, something special." One ad features company CEO and spokesman Jim McCann.

The ads air on national cable networks including CNBC, E! and Lifetime, as well as on a spot basis in major cities.

Wunderman won the account last September and produced its first work for the marketer for the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.

Spending was not disclosed. The e-tailer spent $7.6 million on measured media from January to October 2001, according to Taylor Nelson Sofres' CMR.
