NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Leapnet, a Chicago-based Internet shop and marketing communications company, is in discussions with company Chairman Robert Figliulo and Vice President of Sales David Figliulo about the two executives acquiring some assets related to the Leapnet Internet services business.

Mickelberry Communications, which owns an 8.5% stake in the company, has been part of the discussions.

A special committee, which is receiving financial advice from George K. Baum & Co., is considering the terms of a potential deal with Messers. Figliulo.
