NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Business and technology company Sapient, Cambridge, Mass., and women's network iVillage, New York, both announced plans for stock repurchases.

The board of directors at Sapient has authorized a repurchase program of up to $25 million over the next year, effective immediately. As of today, Sapient has approximately 124 million outstanding shares.

The Board of directors at iVillage has approved the repurchase of up to 2 million shares of the company's outstanding common stock. As of Sept. 18, iVillage has approximately 52.5 million shares outstanding.
