WASHINGTON (AdAge.com) -- The Privacy Leadership Initiative said it will use $13 million in donated Web ads for a campaign with the Interactive Advertising Bureau to educate consumers on how to manage their privacy.

The group said 26 companies have contributed space on their Web sites for the ads and that it expects to reach 70% of the Internet audience over the next year.

Seven ads, produced for the campaign by Burson-Marsteller, Washington, offer tips to consumers on how to keep their information from theft and abuse. The ads will include banner ads, interactive ads and a rich media format.
