The burger chain blocked the wings chain on Twitter, and it just didn't sit right.
After 32,000 reweets and 24,000 favorites of Whataburger's original shade Tweet, as well as many fans commenting and taking sides, Whataburger agreed to unblock Wingstop. Wingstop's olive branch came with two hashtags: #SquashTheBeef and #WingstopWhataburger2020.
This isn't Whataburger's first foray into Twitter feuds. During the Drake/Meek Mill Twitter fight earlier this summer, the restaurant Tweeted, "Meek Mill take it from us -- if you gonna serve beef serve it high quality," earning more than 100,000 retweets and 80,000 favorites.
