NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- XingMail, a Hollywood, Calif.-based e-mail company, has signed contracts with a number of prominent music acts to launch a new service that will allow artists to keep in touch with fans via e-mail about news, appearances and ticket information.

Those who subscribe to the service can also use artist domain names for their e-mail addresses.

Acts that have signed up for the service include Metallica, Dr. Dre, Korn, Matchbox 20, Eminem and Sugar Ray.
