Here's how the automaker plans to reinvent its business:

* Close 14 North American plants, reducing assembly capacity by 1.2 million units or 26% by the end of 2008

* Cut 30,000 blue-collar jobs, 4,000 white-collar jobs and trim executive ranks by 12%

* Build stronger Ford, Lincoln and Mercury brands with a better lineup and far greater quality

* Create vehicles in new segments to reach more customers, including small cars and crossovers, while keeping Ford's truck leadership

* Stabilize U.S. market share in the near term

* Reduce net material costs by at least $6 billion by 2010

* Return North American auto operations to profitability no later than 2008
