MainGate taps OgilvyOne for $15 million account
MainGate.com, an online community for active and retired military members and their families, picked OgilvyOne, Chicago, as first agency to develop its site and handle an estimated $10 million to $15 million campaign. When it officially launches today, MainGate will offer news, e-mail, relocation services, real estate and school information. Online and radio ads break today; print launches March 6.
Winstar launches wireless advertising network
Winstar Communications' Winstar Interactive, which represents advertising sales for individual Web sites, today launches its Internet-Everywhere Group. The division will sell banners, sponsorships and other online advertising packages for companies that develop content for wireless devices as well as kiosks and other location-based access terminals. The division launches with one new client, AwayMed.com, which provides personalized information and services in physicians' offices and through its Web site, www.awaymed.com.
Bookface seeks agency for $6 million account
Bookface.com is searching for an agency to handle its $4 million to $6 million account. The San Francisco-based site, a source of community, chat and shopping opportunities for book enthusiasts, expects to select its first agency in late March or early April and break a consumer brand-building ad campaign in early summer.
Ericsson rolls out wireless ad-serving software
Ericsson today launches a wireless version of its Internet Advertiser software used by Internet service providers to offer ad-supported Internet access. Using the new software, ISPs can push targeted ads to wireless devices such as cell phones and electronic organizers.
