Fallon wins $70M Sony Europe work

By Published on .

[chicago] Sony Corp.'s Sony Consumer Electronics awarded its $60 million to $70 million pan-European account to Fallon, London. Despite having only a single European office, in London, the Publicis creative shop bested its London-based siblings Bartle Bogle Hegarty and incumbent Saatchi & Saatchi as well as independent Wieden & Kennedy. Last month, Omnicom's OMD won the consolidated $500 million Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Pictures and Sony Consumer Electronics media buying business across Europe. For Fallon's London office, Sony becomes the biggest client, with an account covering 21 countries. The first Fallon work will break in the second quarter of 2003. PlayStation, handled by Omnicom's TBWA London, was not part of the review.
