Mentos account goes to Bartle Bogle

By Published on .

[london] Italian confectionery giant Perfetti van Melle awarded the pan-European account for its Mentos mints to Bartle Bogle Hegarty after a pitch against incumbent J. Walter Thompson, Amsterdam, part of WPP Group. Bartle Bogle, owned 49% by Publicis Groupe, launched Perfetti's first chewing-gum product, Frisk Micro Gum, this fall in Europe. In the launch spot, a young man waiting in his date's living room pops a few gum pellets to freshen his breath and ends up being passionately kissed by the girl's enormous dog.
