OMD wins Sony, Siemens accounts

[new york] Omnicom Group's OMD won the consolidated $500 million Sony media business in Europe and the $100 million global media account for Siemens mobile phones. OMD's new Sony assignment in Europe includes media buying for the Music Entertainment division, Sony Pictures and Sony Consumer Electronics. OMD faced Zenith Optimedia Group, owned jointly by Publicis Groupe and Cordiant Communications Group, and WPP Group's MindShare, which keeps Sony's Computer Entertainment business in Europe, including Playstation. For the Siemens business, OMD beat out Aegis Group's Carat.
